Tell us about your experience leading a change in your library and/or in your community.
Pivoting a board to refocus on big picture systematic changes (two examples of this on two different boards) and doing “new” things in libraries by saying YES. (several examples of this but two include facilitating library service at our local high school as well as a local state prison.
What is your mentoring philosophy & style?
This is your career and it is a lifetime commitment to a vocation. Slow and steady, marathon and not a sprint.
What else would you like a leadership mentee to know about you?
People can lead from every level of an organization.
